Who we are
At Feral Mountain Mama Outdoors, we believe the wilderness has the power to transform us. As a female-owned small business, our mission is to empower women through education, community, and adventure.
Rooted in the values of faith, family, and fitness, we create a safe, supportive environment where women can learn, grow, and thrive. Whether you’re taking your first shot at trapshooting, preparing for a trail race, planning a thru-hike, or learning wilderness medicine and self-rescue, we equip you with the skills and confidence to embrace every challenge.
This isn’t just about outdoor sports — it’s about discovering your strength, building resilience, and finding freedom in the wild.
I’m Jessica, a mother, wife, first responder, and avid outdoorswoman who has walked this path myself. I started Feral Mountain Mama Outdoors to build a community of strong, adventurous women who uplift one another and rise together.
Because out here, the wild teaches us what we’re capable of.
Because out here, we Stay Feral. 🏹🌲

The Legacy Behind FMMO
A moment and place to honor and remember my parents, Bob and Edie Baker, who both passed away but left behind an incredible legacy carried forward through their children.
My mom, Edie, was an avid horse trainer whose passion for horsemanship still rides on through my sister, Kristie, who has taken up the mantle and continues her legacy with grace and skill. 🐎
My dad, Bob, was a man of the mountains — a logger from adolescence and a true outdoorsman. You could always find him where he felt most alive: deep in the woods during hunting season. 🌲
Together, they shared a love for trapshooting and were distinguished competitors, winning state championships, regional championships, and even qualifying for the Champion of Champions event at the Grand American Trapshoot in Vandalia, Ohio. 🎯
Some of my favorite memories are the ones spent in the mountains hunting or on the trap line shooting alongside them. It’s their passion, resilience, and adventurous spirit that inspire me every day through Feral Mountain Mama Outdoors.
Here’s to honoring where we came from, cherishing the memories, and staying feral in their name. ❤️
